Let the Challenger Learning Center of Alaska teach science for your homeschool students. Our in-center STEAM Ahead programs are specifically designed for homeschool learners and tailored to foster a deep understanding of science, technology, engineering, aviation, and math (STEAM) through engaging, hands-on activities.

Let us take the lead with our expertly designed STEAM programs that cater to different age groups. Our sessions not only teach essential facts and theories but also instill critical thinking skills that students can use to solve real-world problems. By participating in STEAM Ahead, students enhance their science literacy, bridge gender gaps in leadership roles, and prepare to become the next generation of innovators.

Kitchen Chemistry

"Kitchen Chemistry" invites students to turn the kitchen into their personal laboratory. In this course, students will engage in experiments using everyday ingredients to observe fascinating chemical reactions. They'll explore how heat, color changes, and the production of gasses, sounds, and smells all indicate chemical transformations. Through these lively and interactive sessions, the course makes learning chemistry an enjoyable and tangible experience.

Schedule: February 1 – March 7, 2024 (Thursdays)
Time: 1 PM – 3 PM
Cost: $68 per session (5% discount for booking all 6 sessions)

Rock On Alaska!

Explore the fascinating world of geology in our "Rock On Alaska!" course. Students will investigate a variety of rocks and minerals during six interactive sessions, digging into the processes of weathering, erosion, and chemical transformations. Through engaging, hands-on activities, each class links these geological concepts directly to the unique landscape of Alaska, enriching students' comprehension of the natural world around them.

Schedule: February 1 – March 7, 2024 (Thursdays)
Time: 1 PM – 3 PM
Cost: $75 per session (5% discount for booking all 6 sessions)
