Helicopter Underwater Egress Training (HUET)

Saving Lives One Dunk At a Time

Helicopter Underwater Egress Training (HUET) is a critical safety training program designed primarily for personnel who travel by helicopter over water. This training is essential in the oil and gas, aviation, marine, and military sectors where there's a risk of a helicopter ditching into the water.

Since 2010 the Coldwater Survival Egress Training (CSET) has safely supported the training needs of our offshore workforce, proudly served our local and state communities, and most importantly our youth, to provide essential safety training.

Skilled certified personnel provide classroom and practical instruction with the aid of the METS™ (Modular Egress Training Simulator) to enable trainees to obtain the skills and knowledge necessary to respond to an offshore helicopter emergency and survive until rescue.

The CLCA/CSET METS™ unit is the only METS™ Unit in the state of Alaska. All trainees who successfully complete the program based on performance standards will receive a CSET certificate of completion and a laminated wallet card.
