Our survival courses are designed to instill a strong foundation of safety, survival skills, and environmental awareness from an early age.
Through our customized youth programs, we introduce vital survival techniques and foster a mindset of preparedness that transcends the classroom. Students learn to respect and adapt to their surroundings, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to safely enjoy and thrive in any situation.
Kids Don’t Float
Elementary & Middle School
Drowning remains a significant risk in Alaska, especially among children, with it being the second leading cause of accidental death for the youth. To combat this alarming issue, the "Kids Don't Float" program was created. This statewide injury prevention initiative aims to reduce the high drowning rates among children and youth in Alaska through comprehensive education and practical safety measures.
Cold Water Wilderness Survival

Venture into the wilderness with confidence by mastering the essential skills taught in our Cold Water Wilderness Survival course. This comprehensive training is designed for adventurers who seek to understand and overcome the challenging conditions of cold wilderness environments.
Land Survival
Middle & High School
This course aims to prepare students not just to endure, but to thrive in the outdoors by instilling a deep understanding of the fundamental survival skills. Students will explore the 7 steps of survival: Fire Science, Shelter Making, Wilderness Safety Awareness, Coldwater Survival, Navigation, Vessel Stability, and a Supervised Overnight Outdoor Survival Night.
Cold Water Survival

Building on the foundational knowledge from the Kids Don’t Float program, our Cold Water Survival course takes water safety education to the next level. In Alaska, where water temperatures can be shockingly cold, knowing how to survive in such conditions is critical. This course is designed to equip older children and teenagers with the advanced skills necessary to increase their chances of survival in cold water emergencies.
